About Me - Natasha McGregor

head shot for website.png

Hey!  You might want to know who will you be working with so this is a bit of info about me!

First and foremost I love working as a dietitian with families because I can relate! Like any family we have our challenges and it was during the early years of bringing up kids that I realised feeding them was not as easy as it seems. There was food refusal, unhappy mealtimes and general worry.  *sigh*

I certainly learned it takes time to work through and build a positive relationship around food! My eldest had a later diagnosis of Autism and ADHD which made sense to some of the food issues we faced! My youngest is very active in sports so having a ready supply of appropriate food to support both their needs requires some planning but it is achievable!

I trained as a Dietitian when my two children were in their early years of primary school (they are now teenagers!). My nutrition training and the extra professional development I've done has led me to be able to support families with complex needs.  I am now going into my fourth year for providing feeding therapy.

Other things about me... I enjoy finding and cooking new recipes; helping the kids look after our bearded dragon, chickens and one little disabled pigeon; being active with friends (mainly walking!); gardening when I can but definitely appreciate my husband's contribution there; and puzzles!

So I bring my training and my experience along with me to our meetings which I believe gives you confidence in achieving your goals.

You and your family will benefit

In private consultation, you receive:

  • Dedicated attention and listening,

  • Consideration of personal situations

  • Consideration of food likes and dislikes

  • Nutritional counseling - not demands

  • Setting goals and developing realistic strategies

  • Summary via email of our appointment

The initial consultation can be with parents only and at times this is recommended.

I promise to offer continued support along your journey, assessing obstacles to your success, adjusting the plan of action and re-evaluating goals to achieve together a healthy, happy result.

I am looking forward to working with you!

Food is everything we are. It's an extension of nationalist feeling, ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region, your tribe, your grandma. It's inseparable from those from the get-go.
